MONICA SHRIVER - VISUAL ARTIST
In her visual art, Monica explores the visual representation of the connection and relationship between personal experiences, jazz composition, and improvisation. She primarily uses acrylic and watercolor paints on canvas, paper, or wood, but often incorporates sketches, patterns, found and recycled objects as she explores colors and textures. Many of Monica's pieces have an original musical composition that goes with it. For Monica, the two improvisations are intrinsically and deeply connected.
Monica also does graphic design work on a limited, case by case basis. She designed both of her CD's - Acceptance and Unfolding - as well as posters, merch, etc. Visit her graphic design portfolio for examples.
